Huntington Beach Playhouse is non-profit amateur theater. Casting for the following roles: check out photos from rehersals HERE Henry A. Perkins, a mild mannered C.P.A, accidently picks up the wrong briefcase - one full of money. Henry assumes it is illicit cash and he decides to keep it. Knowing that the former owner must have his briefcase, he rushes home to book one-way fares for he and his frantic wife out of the country; but she's planning a quiet birthday dinner with their best friends. Add to this confusion, two hard working detectives from rival precincts and a threatening criminal and you have typical Ray Cooney hilarity and non-stop frantic action.
Henry Perkins: Male to play 35 - 50 an insignificant man who has suddenly found a suitcase packed with money, middle-class British accent.
Jean Perkins: Female to play 35 - 50 a pretty but ordinary woman until money comes into her life, middle-class British accent. Bill: Male to play 30's London Taxi driver with spirit, could be Cockney. Davenport: Male to play 38-45, A sparse detective with a knowing glint in his eye, middle-class British accent. Vic Johnson: Male to play 35-50 A brash man with feet of clay, middle-class British accent. Betty Johnson: Female to play 30-45. A buxom and cheerful woman and is Vic's wife, middle-class British accent. Slater: Male to play 28-40. Detective Sergeant, a solicitous and kindly soul-until provoked, middle-class British accent. A Passer by: Large Male to play 30 - 45. A man with a menace beneath his cool attitude. Dutch accent (phonetically written in the script)
